GASP Systems Ground Reaction Force & Bio-mechanics Certifications

Sessions start at 9.30am - 12.30pm Lunch 12.30 - 1.30pm Afternoon session 1.30pm - 4.30pm

Level 1 - (Cost £220) - With Mike Duffey and Steve Gould. - This course will have both a theoretical and practical session where attendee's will learn to understand the elements for ground reaction force and torques and their effect on a golfers’ swings. Also looking at ways to effectively to improve players in a lesson environment on the evidence gathered from using such systems.

Overview of how your Ground Reaction Force are measured and the differences between pressure mats/plates v Force Plates (Load cells) systems.

Definition of force and their effects. How individual foot forces and combined foot force and their impotence. Foreshadowing (warning sign that something about to happen) and why this could be critical.

Learning the differences between the COP and COM. How to teach COP and COM.

Looking at linear and rotational forces and how they are reported, what this means to movements and the relationship between Total Torque and Swing Speed.

Looking at examples of different players, good and weak.

Level 2 - (£220) - With Mike Duffey and Steve Gould (SOLD OUT)

Session s start at 9.30am - 12.30pm & 1.30pm - 4.30pm

Level 2 - (£220) - Presentation by Mike Duffey on research of how the effect the bodies movements of using the Ground Reaction Forces and how combining 3D systems and their effect on Kinematic Sequence and other movements in the swing. This will be limited to 12 participants allowing everyone to use the Force plates for a brief assessment. Coaches may bring a player, rather than have themselves measured as a preference.

Balancing Torques in a swing and why its not ideal to be good at one and not the other.

Balancing Linear Force and Torques for maximum effect in the swing and why.

What combinations of forces result in a balance between Rotational power and reasonable Linear motion?

Swing styles front post v more centered swing v slide right side push and why some players may be suited to one style rather than another.

Level 1 & 2 Combined (£416.50) Netherlands Only. (LEVEL 1 ONLY AVAILABLE, LEVEL 2 SOLD OUT)
